Screen time strategies: Where to find the repeat button on your DVD player or tablet

Like all new parents you want the best for your kids. You’ve read the studies that say too much screen time is warping the impressionable minds of today’s youth. But eventually you’ll get exhausted and give up. Just like the story of the tree falling in the woods… Is it too much screen time if no one outside the family knows about it? Below are some strategies for #screentime

Step 1: If the kids do their chores, they get one hour a day with the Fire tablet

Step 2: If the kids don’t do their chores, hide the charger until they get back in line

Helpful Hints!

You can double up snuggle time and your favorite show together after the kids go to sleep

Step 1: If the kids maintain a 3.75 GPA they get the iPad pro for non-school work for an hour

Step 2: For every hour they spend on a foreign language app they get 30 more minutes of screentime

Helpful Hints!

Wait! Some kid just won three million dollars playing Fortnight? Unlimited screen time if they can stay in the top five

Step 1:  Your PR people convince you an RV trip with the family will make you appear more down to earth and likable

Step 2:  After the first hour you let the kids watch unlimited cartoons so they stop fighting

Helpful Hints!

What’s more down to earth and likable than a family fighting on a road trip. The TV viewers eat up the “just like us” segment and photo series in People
